Full Sail Armada used a run through the losers bracket Saturday to stay alive in the Call of Duty Collegiate League Championships.
The 12 teams that remain in the 32-team tournament start the next round of play on May 15.
The No. 5 seeded Armada, who sailed through the regular season with a 16-1 record, swept Rochester Institute of Technology in the first round to start strong. To see the whole bracket, click on this link.
But Penn State University’s White team took them down 3-1 in the second round.
Consecutive wins against Bowling Green and Lebanon Valley College helped the team stave off elimination.
Now they await the loser of a match between University of Illinois’ Orange team and Concord College, the tournament’s top-ranked team.
Concord College is the school that first offered varsity esports teams.
